Welcome From Margaret Gray, Director
After more than 20 years as a teacher at Morrow Memorial Preschool, I am honored and excited to step into the role of Director. Throughout my time at Morrow, I have had the privilege of working closely with children and families, witnessing firsthand the incredible impact that a strong early childhood education can have on a child's growth and development.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary's College in Newburgh, New York, along with dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education. I later received my Master's degree in Special Education from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to joining Morrow, I worked with children from birth to age five with developmental disabilities—an experience that deepened my understanding of early intervention, individualized learning, and the importance of strong family partnerships.
Morrow Memorial Preschool has been a cherished part of my life for many years; all five of my children attended Morrow. As both a parent and educator, I have experienced firsthand the warmth, sense of community, and deep commitment to children that make Morrow such a special place.
For more than 50 years, Morrow Memorial Preschool has been a cornerstone of our community, and I am committed to ensuring it remains true to the values that have guided it for generations. I believe that young children learn best through play, exploration, social interaction, and meaningful relationships. As Director, my goal is to preserve and strengthen these traditions while supporting our dedicated teachers and partnering with families to create an environment where every child feels valued, confident, and inspired to learn.
I look forward to building upon Morrow's strong foundation and helping future generations of children grow, discover, and thrive.
